Wellsprings of Umoja
Wellsprings of Umoja are nourishing-wellness based gathering spaces that’s are based in the principle of Umoja.
Umoja is a Swahili word that means unity.
Swahili, being a language from Africa, indicates the quality that we’re intending to imbue in this concept:
That we can all find unity in an identity around Blackness.
Whether it’s a common ancestry based in the land often referred to as Africa, a common dark experience we all had being created in the womb, a common awareness and aspiration toward a black cosmos, or a collective commitment to nurturing the dark soil of the earth that nourishes us all – there is so much physically referential support for humanity to evolve the relatively defined abstract concept of Blackness to hold all.

As we reclaiming our minds”
And with that all-inclusiveness Blackness, we intend to remove the sense of separation and degradation that ideas around “whiteness” as an identity maintains.
To remove a hierarchical polarity and return to a place of wholeness.
Because it’s much deeper then the surface level of the intentionally created oppressive story of race.
An accepted story around a reality of “white oppressors” and “truncated blackness” maintains a deep internal often subconscious aggregation of all that could be associated with Blackness, now being associated with the fundamental idea of badness. And even that which is connected to the idea of Whiteness, which in this polar example you would think would be associated with goodness, but in the context of being associated with an oppressive force, Whiteness also ultimately is correlated with an idea of badness as well. So there’s a sick, degrading energy behind all of reality.
“If white exists,
Then black subsists
And we’re all downgraded
But if black is all
Then there is no fall
And we as one
Elevated.”
Wellsprings of Umoja is our remedy to actually heal as a species.
This fundamental idea will be a foundation for any space or land base we curate.
